Lamb Day 2012

These are old from July but I never got around to posting them and Charlotte's first Lamb Day couldn't go undocumented. It was another great Lamb Day in Fountain Green. This is where Matt's Grandma and Grandpa grew up and his Dad still has the house there. Every July during the town celebration his Dad does a big family reunion.

A few years ago Matt and I started the tradition of running in the Lamb Day 5K. We didn't break tradition this year. I got a PR of 24 minutes (sad I know, I'm slow, but oh well) and Matt stayed with me so he increased his time from last year by a lot. After the race we had breakfast with the family, went to the parade, the park festivities, and the fireworks that night. We actually stayed the whole weekend with Matt immediate family

Matt's sister got a bouncy house for the kids.

Charlotte feeding the neighbors lambs. She totally freaked out and started crying after this picture.

Sitting with grandpa at the parade.

Her first piece of candy. And she didn't even get to eat it.

My Baby is grow up...

I can't believe she is already nine months old. I feel like in the last two months she has developed into an entirely different baby with SO much personality. We went to the doctor on the 30th and she is healthy as can be. (which as a side note I am SO thankful for. Matt comes home everyday from the hospital and tells me about the sick little babies that he sees and it breaks my heart. I feel so blessed to have such a healthy little girl).

Anyway at the doctor she weighed 16 pounds 14 ounces (20th percentile) was 28.25 inches long (80th percentile!!!!) and her head was 65th percentile. Dressing her can be a challenge since she is so long. She can still fit into 6 month shirts but can wear 12 month pants! I grow more in love with this kid every day. I know I am forgetting a million little things I love about her but here are a few things about her at nine months.

-She is trying so hard to walk. She will stand for a few seconds on her own but then wants her security (i.e. my hand, the wall, the stairs, just about anything she can hold on to).
- She has mastered crawling but she always goes very slow and graceful. Matt and I joke she is like a little praying mantis.
- LOVES food. All kinds and lots of it. This girl will eat non-stop. She especially loves little puffs (sometimes I literally have to negotiate with her to finish her veggies and I will give her little puffs). Loves things she can eat by herself.
- Loves to hold certain toys in her mouth to free her hands so she and crawl, stand up, or play with other toys. It can be funny to see what giant toy she will crawl into the room with stuffed into her mouth.
- Is scared of animals.
- Starting to be mischievous, She knows things she shouldn't touch and waits until I'm not looking to get them.
- Loves the toilet. Trying to break this one but no luck so far.
- Draws with her little finger.
- Waves hi and bye
- Climbed stairs for the first time, onto the stage at church.
- First time going to Lake Powell and Bryce Canyon
- Two top front teeth broke through, so no more vampire girl
- She likes to dance with her dad.
- She is so ticklish and laughs so hard when you tickle her neck and armpits
- Loves to cuddle with her head on your shoulder.
- LOVES her silky blankets. I swear she is OCD when it come to having then in her hand while she sleeps. (that and her binky...need to wean that pretty soon)
- Loves to play with toys, go on walks, sit by the waterfall in front of our house, really anything as long as she is with people.
